Family Circle: The Heart of SYV Family School
 

Family Circle is the SYV Family School's vibrant embodiment of the traditional Parent-Teacher Association (PTA). It represents the enthusiastic spirit of our school community and acts as the catalyst in bringing families, staff, and students together through fun, inclusive, and educational activities.

 

As a parent at SYV Family School, you are already a part of Family Circle. Our tradition of parent involvement and volunteerism is a cornerstone of our school culture, and your participation enriches our community.
 

How Does Family Circle Work?

Family Circle operates through the hard work and commitment of event chairs - dedicated parents who oversee the planning and execution of our various activities and events. These parents work hand-in-hand with the SYV Family School administration to ensure every event is an enjoyable and enriching experience for all families.
 

Our Aims and Goals

Family Circle has two primary objectives:

1. Encouraging parent involvement and volunteerism: We believe that engaged parents play a crucial role in the success of our school community. By actively involving parents, we can create a supportive environment where everyone thrives.

2. Organizing activities that promote school spirit and unity: We aim to foster a strong sense of belonging and camaraderie among SYVFS families and staff. Through various events and initiatives, we strive to enhance staff enthusiasm, boost school spirit, and create lasting memories for our families.

Our Activities and Events

Family Circle, in collaboration with the school administration, organizes and coordinates a variety of events throughout the year, including:

• Meetings: All School Meetings & Back to School Night

• Festivals: Einstein Day, Parades, & Julefest

• At-school events: Turkey Trot, Thanksgiving Sharing, School Performances, Workdays, Special Persons' Day, Rainbow Run, Graduation & Teacher Appreciation Week

• Ongoing happenings: Coffee Cart, Parent Socials, Bulletin Board & Acknowledgments
